4-H Cloverbuds

Florida's 4-H Cloverbud Program is for youth 5 years old, but have not reached their 8th birthday by September 1, 2023.

Cloverbuds are encouraged to explore areas of a healthy lifestyle, earth/environment, citizenship, plants and animals, consumerism and family science, science and technology, personal development, and community expressive arts.

In our fair, Cloverbuds can participate in the Cavy Show, Clothing Show, Dog Showmanship, Food Show, Handicraft Show, Photography Show, Poultry Show, Rabbit Show, Rally Show, & Textile Show.

However, Cloverbuds cannot participate in Large Animal Projects: Bull Show, Dairy Cow Show, Dairy Goat Show, Heifer Show, Horse Show, Meat Goat Show, Steer Show, Swine Show, or Wether Show.

4-H Cloverbud Rules and Regulations

1. Cloverbuds may not compete for any awards and/or prizes. They may enter and participate only in events specific to their age group.
2. Cloverbuds are eligible for participation in the Creative Life Skills, Rally, Small Animal Division Show, and showmanship.
3. Cloverbud entries will be judged and awarded green ribbons of participation. See Specific Shows for Rules and Regulations.
4. A Cloverbud project summary sheet and show sponsor thank you letter, drawing, or picture on 8.5 x 11 paper is required for cavy, rabbit, and or poultry shows.
