Ambassador Program

Ambassadors

The Ambassador program focuses on recognizing active fair participants for their diligence and exemplary leadership qualities. Selected students will serve as role models to younger exhibitors and assist the Suwannee River Fair Boards and Superintendents when needed. Suwannee River Fair Ambassadors are expected to be the ‘face of the fair’ regularly advocating for our program and its implications on youth development while making an effort to educate others on the livestock industry.

Eligibility Rules:

  1. Must be in 10th grade or above.
  2. Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.
  3. Must be able to travel and participate in evening and weekend activities under supervision of the program coordinator.
  4. Must be a bonafide and active member of a 4-H Club/FFA Chapter in Levy, Gilchrist, or Dixie County, as indicated by your advisor or county agent.
  5. Must dress appropriately when representing SRF at events (jeans, close toed shoes, and ambassador shirt).
  6. If selected, you must attend all meetings held by SRF Ambassadors.
  7. If selected, you must volunteer a minimum of 12 hours during all fair related activities.
  8. Ambassadors are not allowed to serve on the grievance committee.
  9. All Ambassadors will be required to obtain a Florida State Fair Ethics number during their term if they have yet to complete the courses.
